The Gold Beholdeth

The endless silver pond left behind
by the girl in blue.
sleeplessly walking to the edge of
nowhere. to jump.
to lose control and to fly to nowhere.
always falling,
forever falling.
what she knows not,
is the existance of a golden field waiting
below.
for her.
the stranger of the land sets
her sights on the miraculous gold.
wanting
so terribly to reach out
and hold the field.
However...
when she reaches the field she remembers,
I  A M  F A L L I N G
she hits the ground and turns the gold to
a ruby color.
never to know the beauty beyond the
broken glass
